Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
